Three minutes into the game Len Elmore (I thnk it was him) Was saying that Iona was "imposing it's will" on St. Peters and I was thinking - is he watching the same game? St. Peters got exactly the type game they wanted and needed for a full 40 minutes. Gaels were never able to crack the code. Nothing worked. - ctbill - DVR doesn.t help. I was still ripping my hair out!

I think our guys looked a little nervous and thinking too much rather than following their instincts or making a choice and sticking to it. I think that may have lead to the really odd shot and pass choices in the lane.
Just before the 2nd half started the TV camera stayed on Scott's face for a long time and the look on his face really worried me. He didn't look scared, but very pensive, lost in his thoughts, rather than excited about the 2nd half.
I wonder if the team's lack of big game experience hurt. Next year that won't be a problem.

What did he say? Not sure why I care but I guess I do. All I heard he said they played horrible, which is true, but no mention how well they played before last night. I actually think they played too well and left themselves due for an off night. From the little I heard he seemed to be implying that Iona stinks, choked and doesn't deserve a coach as good as Cluess. SPC did the same thing to Fairfield the night before so you have to give them credit. It wasn't just Iona being bad.

All I know is, before the game he said, "...that school (Iona) isn't going to be able to keep this coach" Perhaps he just gave TC his kiss of death.

Yea, I actually took it differently, I thought he was complimenting Iona, and thought Iona was the better team. I just think there was a disconnect from what he was saying and what was actually happening. In his defense, they don't get to see allot of MAAC games before doing these broadcasts. Still, if he had done his homework it was obvious that St. Peter's was dictating the tempo and the game.

The guy is a jinx We've had a few down years and no NCAA birth in 5. People who aren't affiliated with the program don't look back in history. That's why C Tournaments are important. If you can win won or come close you put the program in a greater spotlight. You NEED to go post season.
