Please add my wishes for a quick return to all those already received. We all miss OT! (We haven't had a double post in more than a week)

I still owe you that dinner. Get back here and I'll learn to like Voekster.

OT's son TJ here again ...
A very good day with OT today (Sunday, 3/20) ... OT's 86th birthday! And what a good birthday it's been ... he's much more alert today, and actually starting to talk a bit. We read him these latest forum posts, and he really got a kick out of a few of the comments...
He smiled with the "double post" reference ... this new-fangled computer stuff is always a long-stretch for the OT ... we've spent years trying to help him figure out the remote on the TV and to teach him how to get the VCR clock to stop blinking 12:00! So, a little double-post-dislexia doesn't surprise us!
He laughed with the "Voekster" reference above. Our family is not quite "in" on that inside joke, but OT "got it" with a smile.
And he rolled his eyes with the mention of Juniors ... I think any mention or hint of cheesecake is a bit too tempting for him at this point ... perhaps we can bribe one of the nurses to let us sneak something in to his room!
Thank you all again for your prayers ... great progress with OT, and you can count on him to be cheering Iona on during Tuesday's big game.
TJ

This may make OT smile:
THE ONLY MEN'S BASKETBALL TEAM FROM THE N.Y. METRO AREA OR FROM THE MAAC CONFERENCE STILL PLAYING BASKETBALL? THE IONA GAELS!

I truly hope somehow OT was able to enjoy today's game, and my prayers continue!

O.T. The Iona rugby nation is pulling for your recovery. This is going to be a good week for the Gael's. The nets will be cut down, and you'll be getting stronger.

Oldtimer,
I've heard from good sources the gaels will win this one. Looking forward to getting you back here and for you to see the CIT banner hanging front and center.
In the meantime, no homemade wine during your recovery.
