Scotty's worst game as a Gael . He was schooled by that kid (Moore)on Hofstra. Ok.... let us take care of business in the conference.

Few thoughts
How does Glover finish with 2 fouls?
Cluess says nothing to refs, he shouldve taken a technical foul to end the haf and try to fire these kids up
We are a terrible rebounding team. Glover and Ridley are never in position
Cluess needs to stop with the individual instruction during games, thats for practice. He has too quick a hook-especially on Armand and Jenkins.

Just back from Hofstra or Bridgeport II in reference to last year's playoff game up there where we played terrible.
There were so many "low IQ basketball" plays tonight it brought back bad memories of some of Big Jeff's old teams with Solomon Brown throwing "no-look" passes over teammates heads, Dyree Wilson bouncing the ball out of bounds on clear fast breaks and games with 20+ Iona team turnovers.
As you know it all starts with good point guard play, however if you saw this game we had a lot more players than Scott making a lot of dumb plays. Some of the players you have to wonder what they are thinking. . .and the answer is they are not!

Yeah, no chance for an at large now, unless we beat Kentucky in the bracket busters. We go as Scott goes, and tonight Scott wasn't himself. Especially in the first half. If we won by 40 tonight, we'd still need to win MAAC tourny to get in. No at larges happening in MAAC anytime soon

What a stinker. Turns a great December into an Ok one. Too many road games ended up not being that beneficial. Played horrible in front of Francessa(anyone hear halftime show?), won't help get mentioned on the show and won't help NY media noticing prior to game at MSG.
This team probably has 3 Maac losses in them. Need to win out until late January bracket buster selections to get one of best match ups.
I also think this teaam can beat anyone, but they look like they can lose to anyone as well.
Those 3 games in March are going to be extremely nerve wracking.
As for game Machado was awful. 15 first half team turnovers is hard to believe. Armand and or Jenkins needed more minutes late to make comeback. MoMo gets too much favortism and too many minutes.
Way too many foul calls by refs but this was just a horrible effort by Gaels.

I dont care who had a double double

Hard to figure, but it seems like when the spotlight is on, Scott tries to do too much. I don't get the sense that he gets nervous. Its just the opposite. I get the sense there are times when something isn't there in a big game and he forces things.
Apart from Scott we had a bunch of unforced TO's in the first half. I think Ridley had three or four.
This did seem a bit like the MAAC final where I don't think we were prepared for the intensity the other team brought. This was like the super bowl for Hofstra. The Hofstra announcers said this game was all the team was thinking about. We were getting all the attention. The target was on our back. Got to be better prepared.

Anyone see that look Momo gave to Ridley when he took it himself for the and 1 on the break? Priceless.

The team was not prepared well and did not execute. This team has got to have a more blue collar attitude. They sailed in here tonight believing their own headlines. Coach needs to rip some new assholes after this game..... zero excuses..... we sucked.

Im going to have nightmares of that fat dude behind the basket with his shirt off during foul shots Yeah, as soon as that guy takes his shirt off, it should be a technical. BTW, some of the charge calls we got hit with in the first half were riduculous. And at one point with about a minute left we let the ball roll into mid court before picking it up, the whole time the clock was running. But neither made a difference.
