Doug Sherman mentioned on the telecast yesterday that Deon Jones is out for at least a couple of MAAC tourney games. That leads to the question:
If Monmouth makes the final, does Deon play?
I imagine King Rice would have to weigh the chances of a Monmouth at large bid, the need to win the title, and also the fact that Deon would in essence have an additional 10-11 days of recovery time prior to their March Madness game. Interesting.

Oregon State drops to 17-11 after losing at USC 81-70.

Rhode Island now 17-13 after winning at home 68-50 over UMASS.
Texas Southern now 16-13 as their winning streak ends at Southern 84-79.
Manhattan advances after easily defeating Marist 81-63. The Jaspers, led by Shane Richards' 27 points, made 33 of 52 shot attempts (63.5%) including 8 of 12 three point attempts (66.7%).
Rider advances to the next round after defeating Quinnipiac 60-57. Jimmie Taylor led the Broncs with 18 points, and Kahlil Thomas grabbed 12 rebounds.
Canisius advances to play the Gaels after outlasting Niagara in triple overtime, 102 - 97. Phil Valenti led Canisius with 33 points and 9 rebounds.

Manhattan had the only easy win in Albany. And it came on the heels of the school announcing that it has extended Steve Masiello's contract. Coincidence?
Also, any word on attendance for the PIG games?
