Was very empty. Fairly typical for PIG games in the past, maybe even a little less. Thursday night v. Friday night may have had an impact.

A Canisius fan "periscoped" the overtimes of their game last night, allowing those who knew of it to watch them. I didn't see a lot of it but from what I saw, not too many in the seats. Not unexpected, either. But Ensor has to do something about that next year. The NEC quarters were on TV, our PIG games should at least be on ESPN3.

I propose moving the tournament to the Westchester County Center in 2017.

I propose moving the tournament to the Westchester County Center in 2017. it might be smaller than the gym Excellent place to watch a game...Although its capacity is a hundred or so less then Hynes it projects much bigger on T.V.......A good architect, County cooperation, capacity increased to a little over 4,000, centrally located easy access, a introduction to thousands of sport fans who don't even know we exist might very well be worth exploring.... I remember attending a unknown Iona game there against National Power Villanova about a 100 years ago ....Standing room only packed crowd...Although we lost, we gave them a battle....

PIG games should be played at the home court of the better seed

Well the Lady Gaels did their part today, leading wire-to-wire and defeating Siena 64-47. Joy Adams had 20 points and 14 rebounds. Here's hoping the men follow suit.

Nice article on SPU's bright future on NY Apple Buckets, link above. Not only have their top players returning, but have three transfers who sat out and practiced with the team.

Not sure if any of you heard it, and I only heard a minute or two, but at half time, Ed Ingles interviewed Zach Braziller (Sp?) of the NY Post, thought Ed, said Zach was with the NY Times. In the interview, Zach said that Steve Masiello was the best coach in the Metro area. Ed did not follow up with, even better than Chris Mullin? Would have funny if he had. Wouldn't say that. They're very good friends from when Ed used to do the St. John's games for CBS radio in the 80's.
