Best thing going for us is Richmond. We now have a top 50 win. Don't think committees put much credence into margin of victory, Iona is +10, putting us around the top 35 in the country. This is why we rank so high with Omni. Maybe just maybe this factor gets more consideration than we may think. Its Iona's best chance to get NIT bid. From just a couple of days ago, we were 27th in scoring margin at 9.8. We were fifth in assists per game: 17.4. Fourteenth in assists to turnover; 15th in offense and 18th in field goal percentage. And as everyone knows, Machado was 3rd in assists per game and Glover was seventh in field goad percentage. It's unbelievable that this resume can't take us to the NIT!

Yup, none of the 3 NIT bracketologists have us in. Likely won't be changing in our favor even if Richmond wins.
Rumor has it we have been in contact with the CIT. So, again, we'll chat tonight, watch as the NIT brackets are revealed and won't include us, and then see what's up with the CIT.

Looking at their last three in: New Mexico- RPI 66-Looks solid with 2 wins over BYU. Southern Miss-RPI 64-8 top 100 wins. Lost 4 of 5. Probably in. Mississippi-RPI 83. 5 top 100 wins incl. Kentucky. Lost 5 of 9.

Early on they were dynamite. They won on the road @ North Carolina, @purdue, @west Virginia and @ Michigan. Pretty impressive. Then they lose 10 of 11? Hard to call. Meanwhile the CIT and CBI games are filling up quickly. How many openings will be left at 9:00 P.M.? Do we wait, or do we commit soon?

If it were my decision, and if we have a CIT invite, I'd take it right now. Bird in the hand theory.

I'm still guessing the only post season anyone will see at Iona is the games being watched on TV's on campus.... lol
