Okay, I thought this topic deserves a new thread going into this weekend. Good news this morning... updated NIT-ology has us in as a 6 seed (but on the bubble-in). tcaa.puretecmo.com/nit06.htmlThey have Princeton as solidly in with a Pomeroy ranking 29 points worse than ours (89 vs 60). Hmmmm.... If someone as time, maybe they can list a few of the key games we'll need to keep an eye that may affect us.

But Baylor and Nebraska with RPIs circa 90 look iffy to me.

Who should we be rooting for in those games? The three that we've played. Of course. I should have realized that. I was thinking of it from the perspective of wanting all the mid-major regular season champions to win their conference tournaments, so they can go the NCAA, instead of stealing out NIT bid.

From his Twitter page, Vin Parise predicting that NIT will not take Iona saying it wouldn't consider 2 MAAC teams.

The NCAA has stated repeatedly that they don't look at conferences, they look at teams when filling out the bracket. If this is true, and it's true for the NIT one as well, Iona belongs in field.

Just saw a rumor on Twitter that we may be playing at Quinny in a CIT game. I'd be shocked at this, unless someone at Iona talked to the NIT and they confirmed that we have no shot of getting in. Seems unlikely that we'd do this if we're truly on the NIT bubble, which we are. But we'll see.
